Behind the images

I am Elias Choi-Buttinger, the photographer behind Bound of Music, based in Linz, Austria. My background in dance and choreography shapes the way I notice movement, closeness and the gestures between two people. I photograph elopements and intimate weddings in Austria, the Dolomites and destinations worldwide. These photographs follow a couple through an evening in the Dolomites: a mountain walk, clouds shifting across the rock walls, warm sunset light and lanterns after dark. I am drawn to the moments when a vast landscape and a small human connection seem to belong to one another. I give gentle direction while leaving room for the weather, the movement of a dress and the couple themselves to shape the photograph. My aim is to preserve the feeling of being there, as well as the view.
